Bridge Love in Durango

bridges can be very captivating... this is a 100 year old bridge in Durango, Colorado.  the animas river runs under it.  this bridge holds a special place in my heart as frank were married right next to it.

I am not very good at self portraits... I would rather be the person behind the lens instead of in front of it.  But, I also realized that its important for my kids to have pictures of their parents.  Frank is not big on pictures either.  I have to catch him when he is not looking. 

I love to look at the soulful website ShutterSisters, The beautiful women there often talk about doing self portraits - to show yourself as you are.  My plan is to take one pictures of myself a month.  I am not one to stand in front of mirror or turn my camera phone to myself but, I am going to try.  The picture below was taken by one of my girls about a year and a half ago.  We were on top of a parking garage in downtown Albuquerque.  They were actually getting their head shots done and we all decided to be a little playful.

It's been awhile.

While Ii haven't been much for writing lately, it doesn't mean that life doesn't go on.  I'm busy at home with the family.  Trying to keep ahead at work.  And, always taking pictures.  Here is just a sampling...
